good free software for download

www.openoffice.org --- replaces microsoft office
www.gimp.org -- photo editor
www.inkscape.org -- vetor scalable graphics, for drawing
www.mozilla.org -- free browser and email clients
google has also released their "chrome" browser on beta

good open source applications you can download and use for free on the internet. Good alternatives to software that is normally pretty expensive
