obama selects biden, a catholic, as his choice for vp

I thought it was interesting that obama would select a catholic, and well known insider to be his vp for the election. I assume it broadens his outreach to christians and catholics, and also would appeal to people who worry about his experience with foreign policy.

While McCain has picked a young, female governor from alaska. I have never heard of her before but I assume she is capable. Maybe he is trying to attract the women voters who wanted hilary to be president.

Either way, I believe both candidates have selected people who compliment them and give them a broader outreach to voters. I am looking forward to the debates upcoming before the election.
I am still supporting Obama at this point, but I will keep an open mind.

My thing with politics and religion, is you cannot judge a candidate on one issue. They are imperfect people. And for some of us the total package is more important then a stance on one particular issue. I thought obama did an amazing job during his speech, as well as his wife michelle obama in the prior evening. They seem to be a very strong family, who are very articulate and level headed when they speak to the public about their plans to improve america, and bring change to our country. I donated to their campaign a long time ago, and I may donate some more in the coming weeks.

The election is a lot more interesting to me now that the vp choices have been finalized. I assume everyone is scrambling to figure out who Ms. Palin is from alaska, and see if she helps the republicans or hurts them in their desire to remain in control.

Even when you have pain, you can respond in love

Some holy pictures show Jesus with a wounded heart. The image can be so familiar that we do not notice that we too have wounded hearts. When you come to know any adult well, you nearly always discover a wound, a sense of having been badly and unjustly hurt at some stage. People live with their wounds, and keep up a good front. Behind that front are all sorts of sorrows, and different ways of living with a wounded heart.
Often the most useful thing for yourself and everybody is to do nothing. It is also the most painful. We have a strong urge to act out, to deal with the anger that engulfs us by working it out in action. That can be destructive. The other destructive response is to turn the anger against oneself, and slump into depression. Those who have a streak of depression in the family may go this way. You may be facing an insoluble problem - as in the case of a person wrongly accused, or a mother suffering at her child's pain - but by turning it in on yourself you are only adding to the trouble. It is in such a crisis that Jesus' heart can save our sanity and peace of soul. He showed the possibility of enduring the cruellest injustice, yet responding with love. This vision of a warm personal relationship with Jesus can sustain all Christians.

My sister offered me a job at her academic center as a teacher

She is starting to attract more and more students to her academic center. And she asked me to help teach classes at her center starting in september. So hopefully her business will continue to prosper. I have been a subteacher in public schools, I passed the MSAT for elemetary teaching, and I used to teach karate. I enjoy working with kids. Also most of my jobs have been in a teaching capacity or sales capacity. Even as a personal trainer I was often just teaching my clients the knowledge I attained from NASM. So I believe it will be a good fit for me, and it is close by in brea.
