Light Shatters the Darkness

light shatters the darkness

every road leads back home

over long rivers and streams

in the face of hatred and fury

in a cloud of smoke the towers fall

to reveal a new terror

how shall we be

heroes lift us up, though loved ones fall

do we forget what we are because of fear

centuries of hatred, injustice and pain

a light shines the way
