If you want to run, or help fundraise, or be a volunteer to support our runners and bikers. Then this is your opportunity to make a difference and change the lives of people in need. My friend, lianne, has helped to build homes for the poor through heroes run. I volunteered to pass out water, gatorade, snacks and sing during the marathon last year. It is a great experience to be part of this transformation.

Ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask what can I do for my country...

I even went on a few training runs 2 years ago, I got up to 10 miles, then my job prevented me from training any further. But running every week, helped to to get in better shape. So you will improve the lives of others and you will improve your own physical body and cardiovascular strenght by being in the marathon.

Plus you will be running with other good people, and you might make some good friends on these weekly running groups.
