patience, prayer and persistence when courting a woman

I know courting someone can be a difficult process. But pray for it, dont give up when it gets tough and be understanding when things dont go the way you plan. If you have to reschedule then be open to that.Maybe something important came up like family or service, or work. Maybe they do really want to spend time with you. Just be open to whole process, and if you find someone great that responds to you; that calls you and stays in touch with you then do not give up. Be mindful that the person you are interested in, may be busy with work or service or other commitments right now. Just because you are ready does not mean she is ready right now. So be patient and allow her to let you into her life as much as you want to include her in your life.

pray for her, ask her what she wants you to pray for and ask her to pray for your intentions in your heart. Couples that pray together, stay together.

and be persistent. If you give up then surely that will be the end, but if you stay in touch and do not give up the quest, then maybe you will reach the treasure and gift that god has been preparing for you ever since you wanted to find love and a partner.

these three words were given to me by jimbert gonzalez at his harana, and he is about to get married so take that advice and run with it. You too may find yourself walkind down the aisle with your dreamgirl if you are persistent, patient and prayerful in your courting of an amazing woman in your life.

And for all of my sisters out there if you are open to being courted by men, then truly be open to it. If a brothers asks you out in a christian way, then allow him a chance to spend time with you. You might be surprised at what he has to offer you. Do not judge him by his physical appearance. For once you speak to him you may learn that his spiritual beauty and courage are exactly the type of leadership you are looking for from a mate and a husband.
You do not have to give someone a second date, but give him one date, allow him to show who he is. And do not brush him aside or avoid him cause he asks you out. That is truly unkind. I have had women avoid me after I ask them out, and that really hurt me. My intent was to get to know them and instead by me asking them out it drove them to avoid me when we were in a group setting among othe brothers and sisters. That is a sinking feeling if you have never experienced. To put your hope into a sister and have her making you feel like you are unworthy to even talk to her. I honor the women who have turned me down, but still talk with me and treat me like the other brothers.

2 timothy 2:22 "So turn from youthful desires and pursue righteousness, faith,love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord ⁵ with purity of heart.

this is the message I received from god this weekend at the brother retreat. to seek love and faith and peace with a pure heart. To turn away from the temptations and desires that draw me away from god, and instead to seek out experiences that draw me nigh to the lord. Draw nigh to me and I will draw nigh to you. Seek me first with all of your heart.

Isnt that how a brother should seek a sister. First find a pure heart, and put aside our sinful ways, then draw nigh to her and she will draw nigh to you. Seek her first with all of your heart and jesus will bring her heart to you. For where two are gathered in his name, jesus will be there among them.

So pray my brothers for blessings, turn away from temptations, and draw nigh to jesus and he will draw a faithful sister unto you...

And sisters look beyond the physical, look into a man's heart and intentions, and if you see a man who takes his strength from god, then be open to his love offering, for that man may be the answer to every prayer you have ever had for a prince charming. I mean he may look like shrek on the outside, but he might also rescue you from a life of sin or abuse or neglect.

Be patient and persistent and be prayerful when you seek out a relationship with your god's gift or with your new friend or family member. It takes courage to start a new friendship. But all the glory is given to the bravest of souls.

hope in the lord, for with hope the impossible is nothing. All things can be accomplished with hope for you will be fearless in the face of your enemies and fears.
