testimonial from my client Craig:

Hi my name is Craig & when I first joined 24hr Fitness Ronald was my trainer. I explained to Ronald my goals and he designed a training program to fit my abilities & achieve my goals. Ronald was very detailed on my workouts and always explained the purpose of each exercise & what body parts it would build. He was a "form nazi" in that he made sure I did my exercise correctly with good form which greatly reduced the risk of injury. It was very hard work and I would be sore the next day but that was definitely a good thing. Ronald was always positive & upbeat and was there to motivate and encourage me on throughout my training program. He is very knowledgeable in regards to fitness, training, & nutrition. I learned a lot about these areas thanks to Ronald. Ronald also has a great personality which is very important in a training relationship. I would most definitely recommend Ronald as a personal trainer based on my positive experience with his training program.

fruits are great for you, many have antioxidants to keep your immunie system strong. They all have carbohydrates and water in them so they keep you hydrated and full of energy. I always eat a bowl of fruit before a workout and for my in between meal snacks. I tend to like bluberries, black berries, mangos, grapes, nectarines, plums, pomegranate, pears. I like fruits that are crisp or crunchy, it just tastes better to me. I try to vary my fruit intake, too much of anything is not good, but if you mix it up and take different fruits throughout the day you should get new flavors and new benefits from each fruit. I also suggest taking a multivitamin to supplement your nuturition if your trying to be healthy.

For vegetables I like brocolli, mushrooms, tomatoes, zuchinni, carrots, bell peppers, green beans, soy beans, edamame, onions, garlic, avocadoes, cucumber, chilis

Vegetables and fruits should be mixed and varied to make sure you get nutrients from different sources, with food variety is always better then picking the same foods all the time. To make sure you get all the nutrients in your system.

Good Luck. I enjoy taking vegetables with olive oil, or a vinagrette. It is a low calorie alternative for a sauce, instead of say ranch or bleu cheese, which will make you fat if you eat a lot of them. Peanut is always good with vegetables to add some protein to those veggie carbohydrates.

fruits and veggies give you energy and do it in a better way then say white starches or white flour. If you eat wheat tortillas, wheat bread, or wheat pasta those would also be good carbs with fiber in them to clean your system out.

Go buy a nutrition book if you want to know details on all foods. There are some good books out there that detail each fruit and each vegetable if you are low on a particular nutrient.

Read the clean-eating books and magazines by oxygen magazine. They give great nutrition advice. I think the writer's name is tosca.
