testimonial from my client Craig:

Hi my name is Craig & when I first joined 24hr Fitness Ronald was my trainer. I explained to Ronald my goals and he designed a training program to fit my abilities & achieve my goals. Ronald was very detailed on my workouts and always explained the purpose of each exercise & what body parts it would build. He was a "form nazi" in that he made sure I did my exercise correctly with good form which greatly reduced the risk of injury. It was very hard work and I would be sore the next day but that was definitely a good thing. Ronald was always positive & upbeat and was there to motivate and encourage me on throughout my training program. He is very knowledgeable in regards to fitness, training, & nutrition. I learned a lot about these areas thanks to Ronald. Ronald also has a great personality which is very important in a training relationship. I would most definitely recommend Ronald as a personal trainer based on my positive experience with his training program.

What does scriptue teach us about being a good parent

The Scriptures do not offer much advice on family problems, but we can pick up clues. In the father of the Prodigal Son we have Jesus' model of what it is to be a parent. He is not overprotective. He allows his son the freedom to follow his own dream rather than his father's, to take risks and to make mistakes. He is still there for the son who has made a fool of himself and brought shame on the family. He absorbs the jealousy and anger of the older son but does not yield to him. He shows what it is to be a man: there when he is needed; faithful to wife and children; able for lifelong commitment; nurturing, forgiving, patient, and aware that children can learn from their mistakes.

He does not blame himself. When the boy is bursting with rehearsed self-reproaches (‘I have sinned against heaven. I am not worthy to be called your son.' Luke 15:21), the father has no time for them. Instead he blesses and heals. Children shy away from parents who blame themselves for their children's failures. We hate to be made to feel a disappointment to those we love. And we hate them to feel guilty over happenings that were not their fault. But we warm to the parent who, without any illusions about what has happened, is still ready to fall on our necks and kill the fatted calf.

I got this from sacred space.ie

the following are my comments and thoughts

because I often turn this site when I want to pray. It reminded me of the patient people in my life. The ones who do not get angy when I screw up, who help me to regain my confidence, even if I am feeling terrible for doing something wrong. I believe all parents should take care of their children like the father of the prodigal son. Prepare your kids the best you can, and then let them make choices on their own. And if they fail, pick them up and brush them off, so they gain the courage to begin anew. As a parent you know they are mad at themselves already or have lost some of their bravery from the failure. So you need to build them up, remind them of their strength. So they can start anew. When I have needed help my friends, priests, and family that really loved me gave me assistance in their own way to help me regain my courage.

I saw her perform with my family at universal studios a few years ago, she is great

regular tix between 30-115 dollars
or you can call the disney concert hall at 323 850 2000

take care hope you enjoy the show, I might go as well, I havent decided yet, but I am definitely a fan of lea salonga

good breakfast stuff to start the day

have you heard of ezekiel bread. Read ezekiel 4:9 take also unto thee wheat and barley and beans and lentils and millet and spelt and put them in one vessel and make bread of it.

It is a nutritionally complete food, because it contains protein and complex carbohydrates.

It is good with
1. a tablespoon of nut butter with ezekiel bread
2. with scrambled egg whites and ezekiel bread
3. ezekiel grain cereal with lowfat soymilk and berries
I prefer blackberrys and blueberrys, but I know others prefer strawberries and rasberrys

other good choices in the morning
1. lowfat yogurt with muesli
2. hardboiled egg whites with wheat toast
3. oatmeal with protein powder, fruit, and soymilk
4. protein smoothie with frozen fruits
I use a magic bullet blender and then mix. Fill half of the blender with ice and frozen fruit, then a scoop of protein powder, a lot of water, and a little bit of low fat milk or soymilk, and then some cinammon or nutmeg
--- if you use chocolate protein powder then use berries, red or black or blue fruits
--- if you use vanilla protein powder then you can use berries, or citrus fruits
but yellow, orange and green fruits dont taste good with chocolate powder

if you want to give your smoothies or oatmeal an added nutritional boost you can add
1. flaxseed--- good fiber
2. bee pollen --- many vitamins and minerals and nutrients
3. or wheat germ -- good fiber

another good breakfast is leftovers from last night's dinner, just microwave and go

if you are really rushing then yogurt and a handful of nuts, are an easy breakfast you can take on the run, or a protein bar

submission between husbands and wives

I responded to this article: http://www.bustedhalo.com/features/PureSexPureLove69WivesObey.htm

The way it was explained to me is that husbands are supposed to be the priest or pastor to his family. And husbands are called to love their wives as jesus loves the church. And if a husband leads in this manner then his wife should be happy to support his leadership and decision making, because the decisions are led by god for the best interest of their relationship and their family and children.

But we all know that in most cases the wives have a large role in helping their husband with decisions that will impact the family. They say you can be right all the time, or you can be married. In a family the husband and wife must come to decisions together.

But if a man is a good leader and his decisions are based on teachings from the bible, then there is nothing wrong with the wife submitting to his decisions. In the dating process a woman can learn more about their potential husband and if he proves himself to be a leader that is faithful and fearful of the lord, then she can accept his proposal for marriage with confidence. But if this man they are dating regularly makes bad choices for the couple, then she would be better off marrying someone else.

The big problem in america is that so many men follow the ways of the world, like premarital sex, contraception, abortion, not going to church, partying every week and getting drunk regularly,or using drugs, money and popularity and power,or addictions to unhealthy food. It is difficult to find a man who is faithful to god in this modern age. That is why so many marriages end in divorce. Because many men are not faithful to god's teachings. One of my friends was telling me that it is very common for married men he had talked to: to have committed adultery while married. It made me fearful of what he might have done to his own wife, because he was already married and I was one of his groomsmen. But I asked him where he got his information about adultery being acceptable. And he said he got it from his coworkers and friends. And I told him I got my information from the bible. And then he just became quiet and dropped the subject.

I believe it is just as rare to find a man of faith for a husband as it is to find a beautiful woman who is also strong in her faith. When you find this rare person in your life, you should be thankful that god placed this wonderful person in your life.

I am not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I read your article and wanted to respond. Both of my grandparents had golden anniversaries before they died. So they have set a high standard for our family about perservering through the ups and downs of marriage, and really loving your partner for the rest of their life.

more than words

In the Kingdom of God, it is deeds that count, not words. Some of the most Christian events are conducted without words. I once lived with two old Jesuits, Piaras (who was passionate about Irish) and Willie (who was passionate about exercise). They had warm hearts behind exteriors that might have seemed crotchety to a stranger. In fact they seemed crotchety to one another. After years of increasingly cross exchanges, they lapsed into silence with one another, and stopped talking. They could get away with it in a large community. Willie, the older of the two, used spend part of his morning collecting firewood outside and bringing it to his fireplace. But in his late eighties, as he grew more bent and feeble, this became too hard for him. It was as much as he could do to walk outside, much less collect and carry.
One morning he came back from his walk to find his fire made up, and a stack of dry wood beside it. The pattern was repeated, day after day. Piaras had noticed the plight of his old sparring partner, and every day gathered a bundle for him. No words were exchanged. Instead Willie would use his morning walk, once a week, to visit the corner shop and buy a bag of Piaras's favourite sweets. Every Friday he would leave them at Piaras's door, without a word. So the exchange went on, firewood for sweets, week by week till Willie lapsed into his final illness. Piaras came to make peace with him, but talk was unnecessary. They had made up long before, without words.

The Celtics are the best team of 2008: very happy for kg, the truth and jesus shuttlesworth

I am really happy for kevin garnett, pierce and allen and all the young guns playing with them, especially leon powe who played in the pac 10 with my bruins.

These guys have been putting on great performances for the last 10 years in the nba, and now they are crowned champions of the nba.

They speak well of each other, never complain about contracts or teammates, and have never been in rape trials. I have to say it was a good series until the last game. I believe when bynum comes back next year the lakers will very likely be much better defensively. I would like to see if kobe is gonna disparage his teammates like he did last year when they lost. I have always been a kg fan, ever since I first saw him playing with the timberwolves. It is his passion on the court that I really loved. He would just scream from the top of his lungs on a good play, or beat his chest on his way down the court. You can just tell that he loves to compete and his passion is evident. They won with a great defense, that even slowed down the guy everyone is calling the best player in the nba.

Looking forward to the draft, I am hoping the clippers will get russell westbrook of kevin love in the draft. It would be amazing if they could sign gilbert arenas as a free agent. My favorite teams to watch right now are boston, phoenix, toronto, new orleans, the hawks, and the clippers. Mostly I love teams that push the ball like the suns, raptors and hornets, but defensive teams like boston and the hawks are fun for me to watch as well, because they run when they create turnovers.

I will likely buy clipper tickets again this year. I hope they keep elton and corey and try to get back to the success they had 2 years ago. We will see what will happen.

how to use the word in your life

Store My Words in your heart. Use them as you use a lamp to guide your footsteps.

if you listen in the quiet, you might hear the voice of god, or really any time you are in prayer or worshp you may hear the voice of god speaking to your heart. Be still and know I am there with you.

partners and marriage

affirming words for today

  • No one likes going through trials, but when they come in our faith, they bring us closer to God.
  • Babe Ruth said; "It's hard to beat someone who never gives up."
  • True friends know that when you make a fool of yourself, you haven't done it permanently.
I really like these today, it is true we all go through trials, he is testing us in the fire to see what we are made of. During the trials we can see god working in our lives and see him burning his image in our faces and hearts. And if you never quit then at some point things will go your way. And lastly we all look foolish at times, but like my friend ray during his harana last night. If people love you then they know that being foolish for someone you love is all good. And you can go back to looking cool and dashing later. But if you are unwilling to be a fool for god or a fool for love, then you might miss out on having the person you love appreciate the effort you put in trying something new for them. My brother, ray, really doesnt like to sing, but by the end of the harana, he had is fiance giggling and holding him, and made one of the sisters watching weep tears of joy for her friend and their love story together.

a verse from my friend, a healer, michael john reyes

joel 2:11-13

11
The LORD raises his voice at the head of his army; For immense indeed is his camp, yes, mighty, and it does his bidding. For great is the day of the LORD, and exceedingly terrible; who can bear it?
12
Yet even now, says the LORD, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning;
13
Rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the LORD, your God. For gracious and merciful is he, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and relenting in punishment.
Do you run with god's army, are you one of his warriors and soldiers, are you prepared to fight for our god, against the evil in this world. Is your heart at peace and ready for the great battle to come. When you wake are you ready to spread the word of god, even if the evil one sends his demons to stop you.

michael prayed over me tonight, and left me with this verse. And if you went to the bootcamp retreat then you know what it means to prepare for battle. No matter how many of are taken away, do you have the courage to go out and evangelize more warriors and soldiers to do the work of our Lord.

paintball or flag football: if you want to play this summer, send me an email

I have been asked to organize a paintball event, and a flag football game. If you have interest in either of these or both of these sports, please shoot me an email. Once I know how many players we have then we can find an open day this summer and plan it. But I need to know how many people are intersted first. For paintball I would need to get money in advance if we rent a private paintball field for just our group. And for flag football I need to know how many sets of flags, cones and balls that we will need for the day.

I figure 7 on 7 would be good for teams for flag football. These events are open to men and women, coed would be more fun. I have played flag football with sisters from tmsd and soutbay in the past. And I played paitnball with female coworkers at one of my old jobs at the casino. If interested please send me a message. So I can start finding out what day would be good, after checking with everyone.

god bless.
